Programs - Cosmetology

  
  Cosmetology will not be in operation during the 2010-2011 school year.


COSMETOLOGY offers the opportunity to:

• Operate a salon while providing hair, skin, and nail services to the public

• Work toward your cosmetologist’s license

• Earn college credit


The TBA School of Cosmetology requires a high school graduation certificate or GED certificate to register for Cosmetology classes.

Class is in session seven hours per day Monday through Friday,  8:30 AM until 4:15 PM. Students graduating from the program will have a thorough knowledge of the theory and skills needed to pass the Michigan State Board Examination required for the licensing of cosmetologists. Skills include manicures, pedicures, make-up, facials, hairstyling, hair care and analysis, hair cutting, texture services, and all aspects of hair color. A small business and entrepreneurship BS degree (15 credits of free electives) from Ferris State University may be available to graduates of TBA School of Cosmetology upon completion of the program with an 80% or better.
