Highlights

 

Program Objectives:

To present a realistic overview of the major components of the Public Services System, which include Law Enforcement/Corrections, the Courts, Fire Service and EMS.

The program will examine the structure of the Public Services components and teach how the past has affected the present as well as the future.

Students will graduate with a basic knowledge of Public Services jobs including job vocabulary and operation.

The students will participate in physical training as well as academics.

Students who choose a career in Fire Service could have the option of graduating with a Fire Fighter I and II certificate.

Students who choose a career in EMS could conceivably graduate with an EMT certification.

Students wishing to pursue a career in Law Enforcement/Corrections could receive up to three college credits towards a continuing education at NMC.
