Counseling Services
Counseling
services at the Career Tech Center are designed to
assist each student in his/her quest for academic,
career and personal growth. Counselors work in
conjunction with counselors from our nineteen area
school districts to insure each student’s smooth
transition into their technical program and post high
school plan.
CTC counselors work with instructional staff to teach
and reinforce positive work ethic development in all
students. Counselors review attendance and academic
progress and assist students and parents with planning
for improvement. Our goal is to keep students in school
and moving towards high school graduation, employment,
post-secondary training, or military enlistment.
Students are provided with interest and aptitude
assessment and career planning information. Seminars are
provided on college planning, financial aid and
scholarship opportunities. Counselors are available for
personal counseling and assist students and parents in
referrals to community agency and providers for more
intensive services.
Counselors work with the school’s marketing team to
provide information about programs and opportunities to
area high school counselors, parents and students.
Counselors and CTC student panels visit each area high
school to offer information to sophomores on the
benefits of CTC enrollment.
